Vancouver Wedding Photography

I had a pleasure to work with Charity.  She is a professional model represented by John Casablancas.

Charity has a very photogenic look and she is very easy to work with.

I wanted to get the look of nostalgic 1970’s so I used print film in some situations to achieve the results that I wanted.

There comes a once a year time to take photos of ourselves and since I happen to be on the other end of the camera I should be getting a very very expensive christmas present this year!

Of course buying a new dress for the photoshoot was a part of the present

And here is the masterpiece of my life!!!

This shot was taken today on 35mm film. I used my Leica film SLR, developed the film and scanned it with my Nikon 5000ED film scanner. The result is fantastic. Perhaps someday I will shoot an entire wedding with a film camera and have it scanned at incredibly high resolution, it’s a lot of work but the rewards are worth the effort.

Of course this doesn’t mean I’ll put away my Canon 5D Mark II on the shelf, it just gives me more tools to work with to obtain the results that I am looking for in my projects.

With my newly obtained Nikon SUPER COOLSCAN 5000 ED scanner the old times are back and shooting film is fun again.

I am in the middle of upgrading my services to offering studio of various themes such as fashion, pregnancy, family, headshots etc.
